About Danelle

ArtShop provides opportunities for children and adults with cognitive, developmental, emotional and physical disabilities to participate in the creative process and develop as artists. Through therapeutic art lessons designed with adapted steps for individuals with disabilities, ArtShop utilizes the process of creating art to promote and develop self expression and empowerment.

Danelle Griner is the founder of ArtShop and specializes in art education adapted for individuals with disabiliites.  She has worked teaching art for many years in individual settings, day programs, rehabilitation facilities and schools and understands the needs and challenges of adapting the creative process for people with disabilities.

2015 ASD Certification from Autism Society of Minnesota

2008-2015 Director of ArtSpeaks: Rise Inc. Developed art exhibition opportunites and taught adapted art classes for participants with disabilities.  

2013 Partner with South Washington County Schools Community Education:  Elements of Art Class for Children with Disabilities.      

2013 Metropolitan Regional Arts Council grant panelist for Creative Intersections Arts Grant

2007 VSA Arts of Minnesota Arts Access Award — Outstanding Arts Educator of Students and Adults with Disabilities  This is a statewide award funded by VSA arts to recognize outstanding accomplishments that help make the arts more accessible to people with disabilities.

2006 Rise Support Partner of the Year  Rise is a non profit rehabilitation agency which provides career planning, vocational training, employment, job placement and support services to adults with disabilities.
