Shane is 14 years old and was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. However, from the time he could first hold a crayon at 10 months, his passion was drawing. By age 4, he was drawing the characters from Veggie Tales. He still continues to spend the majority of his free time drawing and sketching. It provides not only recreation, but it is also a form of therapy for Shane.
Group Classes and Private Art Sessions
ArtShop provides opportunities for children and adults with cognitive, developmental, emotional and physical disabilities to participate in the creative process and develop as artists. Group classes and individual sessions teach fundamental art skills and use the process of creating art to develop social and emotional life skills.
