Group Classes and Private Art Sessions
ArtShop provides opportunities for children and adults with cognitive, developmental, emotional and physical disabilities to participate in the creative process and develop as artists. Group classes and individual sessions teach fundamental art skills and use the process of creating art to develop social and emotional life skills.
Creating art teaches:
- How to solve problems and develop self directed decision making skills.
- How to manage internal feelings through unexpected challenges and outcomes.
- Appreciation of individual uniqueness through success and accomplishments.
